A new Brand

A small and nice project:
Reinhold Pro helps companies make optimal use of their existing resources and thereby achieve sustainable success. As pioneers in resource efficiency, they empower organizations to systematically identify and eliminate wasted resources. The approach is based on the LEAN principle.

The visual design

follows the principle of the portfolio approach. The fundamental questions are: What is necessary, and what is not? This leads to a reduction of all brand codes to their most appropriate forms on the one side, while maintaining strength in everything that creates strong impact on the other side.

A brief style guide

was provided, outlining the brand codes as well as the look and feel of individual applications, along with logo files.

Task

Social media posts (slides and gifs) for the release of the Toolkit Volume 02 and the additional card set for Volume 01. The release was in spring 2023, which is why the theme of spring was to be the main topic of the posts.

Task for the students:
A Positioning and Corporate Design for the new Spreepark Berlin

Background: The Spreepark Berlin
.  1969-1989 and 1989-2001: amusement park Kulturparks Plänterwald, later the Spreepark
.  2001-2016: Lost place
.  2016: Workshops with interested people from Berlin and first ideas for the future
.  2019: The masterplan: A public park focused on art, culture, and nature for all Berliners

Currently, the area around the Eierhäuschen has been open to the public again as a tourist destination and art space since 2023. The opening of the main park will is planned for 2026/27

The challenge

The Spreepark Berlin at the river Spree and close to the Plänter Wald has a vibrant history. The Ferris wheel and various relics serve as reminders of its past as a well-known amusement park.

Grün Berlin and other stakeholders were developing a new master plan at that time. The concept aimed to draw on the past while reinterpreting it through the lenses of art, culture, and nature. A constantly evolving landscape was intended.

In 2019, the concepts were partly concrete and partly still visionary. The course participants used the park’s at that time status as a starting point for their design concepts.

The process

→   Guided tour at the Spreepark area
→   Analysing objectives, potential offerings, similar or different parks, identifying target audiences and possible measures
→   Accompanied by presentations on specific branding topics, exercises and a strategy workshop the students worked out a basic posiition for the park
→   Development of corporate designs for the future model of Spreepark Berlin
→   Presentation to Grün Berlin’s responsible manager and later at the department’s annual exhibition
